The Vanuatu National Disaster Management (NDMO) this week received much needed donations from the Vanuatu Chinese Community to assist with relief efforts following the TC Harold

The donations included 200 Cartons of Water and 100 Cartons of Noodles.

These donations were received by the Director of NDMO Abraham Nasak at the Chinese Club in Port Vila.

The donations are currently being stored at the Lapitasi wharf ready for shipment to the affected Communities.

Vice President of the Chinese Community, Johnny Lam says the community is ready to help in any situation affecting Vanuatu.

Director of the National Disaster Management Office, Abraham Nasak says the NDMO appreciates that much needed donations are coming from international donors and in country organisations, communities and individuals such as the Vanuatu Chinese community to assist with the relief effort.

He says families who are affected will receive the supplies on the next shipment.

Site distribution of relief supplies is underway on all the islands in the Malampa, Penama and Sanma provinces.

While these items we donated under the name of Chinese Community, individual Chinese businesses have also made donations through the NDMO.
