National Environment Policy- Draft

The National Environment Policy has the ambition to create a framework that links already existing environment-related policies[1], while at the same time providing a roadmap for Vanuatu’s long-term environmental objectives and actions. Furthermore, not only will such a policy be of great benefit to the entire sector, it will also serve as a strategic guide for the DEPC, enabling the improvement of existing governance, coordination mechanisms, and service delivery. The five high-level policy goals define the national focus and priorities for Vanuatu’s environmental action within the next 5 to 10 years.
