This serves as a reminder for our next Program Quality Network meeting that will be happening this week. Confirming that meeting will be held at the Oxfam office – Outside Natangura meeting shed on the Thursday 13th of July 2017. As usual, meeting time will be from 10:00am till 12:00pm with lunch for everyone.

The Government of Vanuatu, through the National Advisory Board on Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Secretariat (NAB Secretariat) is supporting a review of the status of implementation of the Climate Public Expenditure and Institutional Review (CPEIR) for Vanuatu.
The NAB Secretariat would like to invite you to participate in this review by:
· Attending a half-day workshop, 8:30am-2:00pm on Monday 26th of June 2017 (Venue: Ramada)
The Department of Environmental Protection & Conservation and FAO will begin implementation of the national GEF5 STAR Ridge to Ridge (R2R) project this year 2017 and are inviting select stakeholders and guests to attend its 2 days national inception workshop. The project is titled: Integrated Sustainable Land and Coastal Management (ISLCM). The workshop date is from 13-14 June 2017 and will be held at Melanesian hotel. The project focus islands are Aneityum, Tanna, Efate, south Pentecost and some ad hoc assistance to Gaua Lake Letas Conservation Area.
The Ministry of Climate Change and Adaptation, the Commonwealth Secretariat and UN Environment have the pleasure to invite you to participate in a Multi-Stakeholder Consultation on the Development of a Law and Climate Change Toolkit, to be held on Thursday 22nd March 2017, from 9.30 am until 4.30 pm.
The Vanuatu Information Services for Resilient Development in Vanuatu (Van CIS RDP) project was approved at the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Fifteenth Meeting of the Board in Apia, Samoa from 13-15 December, 2016. The approval was made with a number of conditions and requirements that have been put forward by the GCF Secretariat, the Independent Advisory Panel, and the GCF Board. The one week country consultation workshop will bring together key project stakeholders to work together to make significant and substantial progress towards meeting the conditions placed on the project.

A meeting will be held on Tuesday morning (9am - 11.30am) with morning tea provided at the staff room on the USP campus (Emalus) to discuss the EU-PacTVET project.
The objective is to finalise the decision for the application of the funds (approximately 100,000 Euro) in Vanuatu in alignment with the PacTVET objectives to advance the technical skills and knowledge in Resilience (CCA & DRR) and Sustainable Energy.
This is a reminder for the Heads of Agency Meeting on Thursday, 17th November 2016 from 10 am to 12 noon at Oxfam’s Office.
We have added another agenda on ‘Cash feasibility study’ and remove ‘DLA Presentation’ as they will not be available to make their presentation.
Meeting Objectives:
1. To present the Validation Draft of the National Sustainable Development Plan.
2. To report back on the nation-wide consultation process and ensure all feedback to date has
been faithfully represented.
3. To answer any outstanding questions and receive any final comments on the draft.
4. To seek commitments from representatives of all levels of government and other stakeholders
on working together to achieve the national vision.
You are invited to the Vanuatu Climate Finance Forum. Returning from the UN Climate Change Conference in Morocco, it is apparent that much remains to be done to prepare our nation to receive and benefit from the climate finance flows reaching our shores.
