Dune Vegetation Planting for Coastal Rehabilitation

The most common cause of coastal erosion is the destruction of natural and highlyspecialized salt-tolerant pioneer beach/dune–building plants. Fortunately, rehabilitation of theseplant species has proven to be straightforward and relatively inexpensive. The rehabilitationprocess utilize sound, ecological restoration principles and additionally work towards improvingcommunity understanding of the importance of these coastal margins in mitigating the impacts ofclimate change.
