Humanitarian Supplies Challenge

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) invites you to apply for the following opportunity.

Through the Humanitarian Supplies Challenge, DFAT is seeking new partnerships with businesses, entrepreneurs, NGOs, social enterprises, academics, designers and other leaders in innovative approaches to humanitarian relief. Together we want to identify innovative products that can supplement our existing humanitarian emergency relief stores to help us provide more effective relief to communities in need after disaster strikes.

The Challenge is open globally and specifically targets innovative products that will help those impacted by disasters access clean water, generate off-grid energy and provide safe temporary shelter solutions when existing systems fail.

Full details of the eligibility, selection and assessment criteria for the Challenge can be found at: dfat.gov.au/hrsc.

Austrade will host an online information seminar on the Humanitarian Supplies Challenge at 11am (AEST), Thursday 8 September. Pre-registration for this online event is required. This is an excellent opportunity for potential applicants to learn more about the Challenge.

Applications should be submitted via the online application form: https://supplieschallenge.smartygrants.com.au/HSC2016.

The Challenge closes on 30 September 2016. Challenge winners are expected to be announced in early December 2016.
