Disaster Resilience Planning Workshop

This workshop is being organised by the VCCI in collaboration with Learn.fast Pacific http://www.learnfastpacific.com/ and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) https://www.unisdr.org/. Refer to the workshop concept note attached.

You will learn from the workshop how to;

1.     identify risks to your business,
2.     create a Resilience Action Plan for getting ready for a disaster, and a
3.     Business Recovery Plan for responding and recovering after disaster strikes.

Note that you will need to contextualize the different workshop topics to your local situation taking into consideration the daily impacts of climate change as well as geo-hazard.

There are 2 other VANGO members from marginalized and vulnerable groupings within society attending being John Chedack Sam and Marie-Noelle Alick from the chief's council and widows association respectively.

The Secretariat is strongly encouraging you to attend this workshop and to share your experiences and realities from the ground in particular from Tanna, Tongoa, Efate and Pentecost.
